WELCOME TO THE SCR@TCH JOURNAL
Think of this space as a fraction of my mind and journal.
I wanted to create a place where I could share my thought, creative process, current inspirations, interesting discoveries and the idea behind what i create. A space for reflection, curiosity, and conversation.
Apart from creating and crocheting, writing is another thing I truly love. Through this journal, I'll be sharing more of that side of myself, along with snippets of inspiration and occasional updates from the world of SCRA@TCH.
If you enjoy reading, exploring ideas, and discovering beauty in everyday things, you're in the right place.
I'll be updating this journal from time to time, so stay connected.
LET'S TALK ABOUT AURA
I've always loved the idea that our presence can say so much more than our words.
The energy we carry, the light we bring into a room, and the impression we leave behind often speak before we do. In many ways, I think style works the same way. What we choose to wear and how we wear it communicates something about who we are, and I've always found that fascinating.
That's why I've always been drawn to the word Aura and everything it represents.
It's what inspired the name of the hats I create.
THE SLOUCH
The Signature slouch is inspired by FILA, a traditional Nigeria headwear style worn predominantly by Yoruba men, though it is embraced and styled by many.
I've always admired the shape and character of the FILA. As I learned more about it, I discovered that there are different ways it can be worn, each carrying its own meaning and expression. I found that fascinating.
One of the things I love about my heritage is the depth behind it. Theres is meaning in every detail and stories, and as a curious person Its part of the reason why I'm drawn to creating and why theres is always a story behind everything I create. I appreciates objects, styles, and experiences that carry a story.
The Signature Slouch is my own interpretation and celebration of that inspiration.
There is no right or wrong way to wear it. I personally love to slouch it in different ways depending on my mood, and I encourage you to do the same, and have fun with it, make it your own.
There's always something more to discover, something new to learn, an idea waiting to take shape. This journal is a space for all of it, the things that inspire us, the things we create, and the meaning we find along the way.
I'm looking forward to sharing more with you. Until then, thank you for being here.
